The primary ingredient in our Pro-Comfort Baby Drops is the 3 strains of friendly bacteria. Sunflower oil (or oil more generally) is used in virtually all live-culture drops as suspending the bacteria in oil protects them from harsh stomach acids, improves the stability of the bacteria (to ensure they remain effective) and eases administration. Our team actually prefers the use of sunflower oil over palm oil, or maltodextrin, neither of which are in our drops. Additionally, the full bottle is 7.5ml and has 150 drops in it, so the volume of liquid is very low.
